1It looks like a cheap Asian-made saxophone. Sure, it would play, but would likely have numerous problems. Unfortunately, many repairsmen refuse to look at no-name brands like Mirage because of the problems.
If you’re even the least bit serious about playing again, bite the bullet and get a sax that will last. Unfortunately there aren’t many "student" model sopranos from reliable companies, because few kids start on it. Keilwerth (great brand) makes a student soprano that runs $750. http://www.wwbw.com/Keilwerth-ST-90-Soprano-Saxophone-462901-i1143789.wwbw Yamaha has an intermediate/pro (YSS-62II) that runs about 2k new. Luckily, you can find used ones somewhat cheaper.
If you’re not that serious about it, there are other good options. Kessler Music (based in Las Vegas, ships anywhere) has 3 sopranos ranging from 500-800 (depending on how many features you want). Check this page out. http://kesslermusic.com/html/sax/soprano.html
I really think the mirage won’t satisfy you. I’d highly suggest getting the Keilwerth or Kessler, which aren’t terribly expensive for saxophones.
